Born at the French Hospital in New Orleans on December 25, 1937. He was an only child and is predeceased by his loving parents, Lucien Constant Theriot, Jr. and Eureka Ann Pitre Theriot. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Hilda Marie Durand Theriot, his adoring six children and their spouses, Anne T. Dominguez (Jim), Yvette T. Blauvelt (Greg), Leslie T. Perez (Luis), Denise T. Eagan (Ken), Gerald, Jr. (Shelly) and Suzanne T. Johnston (Mark), as well as 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He graduated from St. Aloysius High School in 1955 and attended Tulane University. He worked at Avondale Shipyards as a Senior Electrical Purchasing Agent for 30 years before he retired. He loved volunteering and volunteered as a basketball coach for St. Gabriel the Archangel CYO in New Orleans and Pelican Park in Mandeville. He also served as Vice-President of the Pontilly Association and served on the Parish Council for St. Gabriel Parish. He was a catechist at St. Gabriel Parish and a Eucharistic Adorer at Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Mandeville. Visitation is on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 312 Lafitte Street Mandeville, LA 70448 with Mass immediately following. Interment will be at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, St. Benedict, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Parkinson's Foundation. ===================
