Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2015/st1507.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== BEVERLY FRISARD BLOCKER, a retired accountant and Realtor, died Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was 76 years old. Mrs. Blocker, who was the daughter of the late Anna Smith Frisard and John Baptiste Frisard, Jr., was born and lived in the New Orleans area for 53 years before moving to Covington in 1992. She was a graduate of the Academy of the Most Holy Angels High School in New Orleans and worked as a private secretary for many years in the executive offices of United Theatres before establishing her own accounting business in 1967. Mrs. Blocker was a parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church in Metairie for 26 years, where she served as the first female parish president, first female Home and School Association president, and first female parish fair chairperson for three consecutive years. She created and supervised St. Benilde’s after school care program for students of working parents. Mrs. Blocker was the recipient of the Order of St. Louis Medallion which was bestowed upon her by Archbishop Philip M. Hannan, and in 1989 she received a Distinguished Service Award from Catholic Charities for her outstanding work with Cambodian immigrants. Mrs. Blocker was a Realtor with Prudential Gardner Realtors, formerly Grille Properties, for more than two decades. Mrs. Blocker was preceded in death by her brothers Anthony Frisard, Sr. and Earle Frisard, Sr.; her sister Ann Frisard Richard; and two grandchildren, Angel and Beaux Blocker. Survivors include her husband Walter E. Blocker, Jr.; four sons Gary,Sr. (Linda Volz), Darrin “Tim” (Willawan Juntee), Christopher (Tamatha Cantelli), and Brandt (Christine E. Jones) eight grandchildren: Gary Jr., Jeannie, Colt, Mason, Whitney, Hunter, Wacharapol "Am" Juntee, and Christian Blocker; plus four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A private visitation for family will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433, on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 9:00 AM with interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. ===================
