He passed away on July 8, 2015,in Slidell, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda; his sister, Ruth Cropco; his brother, Dave Cropco (Judi); his mother-in-law, Sylvia Folsom; his sister-in- law, Sandra Brown (Leon); his sister-in-law, Debbie Vanlandingham (Mike); his sister-in-law, Beverly Grubb; his nephews, David Cropco (Cheryl), Don Tucker (Sue), Robert Tucker (Candace), Chris Tucker (Robin), Clint Marshall, and Matthew Vanlandingham. He is also survived by his niece, Ashley Tracy (Toby). He is also the proud uncle of eleven great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Cropco; his parents, Anna and Henry Cropco; his brother, Fred Cropco; his father-in-law, Earl Folsom; and his brother-in-law, Paul Grubb. Richard proudly served eleven years in the United States Marine Corps with two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from the National Finance Center in New Orleans where he worked as an accountant for many years. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME 1751 GAUSE BLVD WEST, in Slidell. Friends may visit at the funeral home beginning at 9:00am. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Food Pantry Ministry of First Baptist Church of Slidell.
