Mrs. DeClouet was born August 12, 1941 to the late Lester and Helen Johnson. She served a brief tour in the U.S.Army before marrying her husband, retired MSG Gerald DeClouet Sr.and pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse. She also obtained multiple degrees including a Masters in Nursing from L.S.U., a Masters in Social Work from S.U.N.O, a Bachelor from Boston University, and an Associate from Columbus College. She was a native and longtime resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Slidell for the past seven years. Mrs. DeClouet is preceded in death by her daughter Sonja DeClouet, sister Lillian Clark, brother James Mullen, mother in law Theora DeClouet, and sister in law Geraldine Trask. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Gerald DeClouet Sr.,children, ReNate Norfleet, Dr. Aleta DeClouet, Gerald DeClouet Jr., and Yohannah Baptiste, eight grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Decon DeClouet was a devoted and faithful member of Greater Northshore Full Gospel Baptist Church, a devoted mother to her children, and an inspiration to her grandchildren. She brought joy to all whose lives she touched and will be sadly missed. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at Greater Northshore Full Gospel Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10a.m. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery l in Slidell, Louisiana. U.S.Army ===================
