ELLIOTT, VIRGINIA MCLAURIN 

Services for Virginia McLaurin Elliott, 90, of Baton Rouge, will be held on 
Monday, July 6th, at 2 pm at the Chapel of Pearl River United Methodist Church, 
65480 Highway 41, Pearl River, LA, conducted by the Revs. Pattye Hewitt, Gene 
Faurie, and Lane Cotton Winn. 
Visitation will be held at the church from 11 AM until the time of services. 

Interment will follow at Pearl River (Crawford) Cemetery.

Virginia was born December 16, 1924, in Columbia, MS, and died July 2, 2015, in 
Baton Rouge. She was a loving wife and mom, as well as a wonderful homemaker. 
Professionally she was an agency liaison in State Farm Insurance offices in two 
states.

Virginia was twice blessed in marriage, having been wed to Robert P. McLaurin, 
Sr., for 51 years and to Russel N. Elliott for 10 years. Both were wonderful 
caring Christian men.

She is survived by sons, Robert P. McLaurin, Jr. (Susan) of Citronelle, AL,
Mike McLaurin (LuAn) of Ponchatoula, LA, daughter , Ann M. Walton (John), Baton 
Rouge, LA, “bonus” daughters, Nancy Elliott Richoux (Tony) of Richardson, TX, 
Ellen Elliott Schwerer (Bryan) of Cary, NC, “bonus” son, Glenn Elliott (Glenda) 
of Fort Worth, TX, grandchildren Kate M. Wright (Charlie), Mary M. Zedler 
(Kevin), Brian Seely (Lindsay), Megan M. Hibbetts (Eric), and Ashley Seely, 
“bonus” grandchildren Michael Richoux, Russel Elliott (Melinda), Elizabeth 
Armstrong (Patrick), Jennifer Mosakowski, Connie Abadie, Matt and Katie 
Schwerer, six great-grandchildren Katey Beth, Maggey Claire, and Lilley Grace 
Zedler, Maddie and Noah Seely, and A. J. Hibbetts, and bonus great-
grandchildren Abbey Elliott, Trevor Armstrong, Sara Leach, and Lauren 
Mosakowski.

Virginia was preceeded in death by her husbands: Robert P. McLaurin, Sr., and 
Russel N. Elliott, a grandson, Andy McLaurin, her parents, five brothers, and 
one sister. 

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that gifts in Virginia’s memory be made to 
the Pearl River United Methodist Church Building Fund, 65480 Hwy. 41, Pearl 
River, LA 70452.
