Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2015/st1507.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== LOUIS “PAT” NEFF JR., 87, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Slidell Memorial Hospital. Beloved Husband of Carol B. Neff of 61 years; Father of Michael C. Neff and daughter-in-law Nora, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Phillip J. Neff, daughter-in-law Tina; Son of the late Louis and Eleanor Bergeron Neff; Brother of the late Grace N. Shaw; Also survived by two grandchildren: Sierra Neff, and Conner Neff; A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, and a resident of Slidell since 1973. Mr. Neff graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree from LSU in 1951, and retired from Shell Oil, where he was the Project Engineer for the building of the Yscloskey Gas Plant. He was also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Pat was the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rotary Club of Slidell in June, 2015, was a longtime member of the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, the Krewe of Perseus, and the Holiday Ramblers Recreational Club, as well as a member of the NRA. Mr. Neff enjoyed NASCAR, woodcarving, traveling and hunting. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Funeral Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 12:30 P.M. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, and again on Tuesday, after 10:00am. Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
