Husband of the late Charmaine Trainor, he is survived by his children Kathy Eaton, Timothy Trainor, Christy Robinson, Bonnie Lucio, and Victoria Richardson. His parents were James Trainor and Katie Callaghan, and he had one sister, Lorraine, and four brothers, Jay, Reggie, Milton, and John. He is survived by his nine grandchildren Steven and Katie Trainor, Guy Michael and Nicole Robinson, Jessica and Michael Lucio, and Rachel, Grant and Brooke Robicheaux, as well as one great-grandchild, Nolan Robinson. Deacon Bob was ordained in the Catholic Church in December 1991, and has served at St Luke the Evangelist Church in Slidell since 1996. Prior to his ordination, he had a career as an insurance executive and certified financial planner. He had served in the US Army as an infantryman in the Korean War in 1951-53. He and his wife Charmaine were a presiding couple in Marriage Encounter from 1976-1993, and he was especially proud of his work with the cancer support group at St Luke’s. Visitation will be at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell Louisiana at 10:00 Friday, July 24, 2015, followed by a mass at noon. Interment will be at Lake Lawn Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. After Mass, and a celebration of Deacon Bob’s life will be held at The Family Life Center at St Luke’s at approximately 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Fragile X Foundation in Deacon Bob’s name. US Army ===================
