Her devotion to her family and close relationship with God supported her in her life and her love for God and family was unconditional. Judy was born to the late Joseph and Laura Fernon in New Orleans, LA on February 22, 1935. She was immersed in the Catholic community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She was a devoted daughter and sister to her siblings, an energetic teenager, a true and loyal friend, a loving wife, a comforting and nurturing mother, and a spoiling grandmother and great grandmother. Judy was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her soul-mate, Donald Boudreaux, on June 2, 1956 in New Orleans, LA. She was a loving, kind- hearted and supportive mom who raised her eight children with unwavering patience and humility. Judy was a terrific role model to her children, eighteen grandchildren and great grandchild encouraging them to live life to the fullest, be kind and caring, and have a relationship with God. To anyone who was lucky enough to call her a friend, Judy was fun to be around, very caring and generous with her time and selfless support. Growing up, she was fun-loving, carefree and enjoyed spending time with friends. As she and Don began raising their family, she really enjoyed the family vacations, traveling and road trips to interesting destinations near and far. Judy generously contributed her time and resources to countless philanthropic causes throughout her life and had a real soft spot in her heart for those in need. She served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with CASA and volunteered often for Meals on Wheels. Judy really enjoyed being a Captain at the Cenacle Retreat House and she and Don contributed greatly to the success of Legatus, Catholic Charities and the SERRA club. Judy is dearly missed by her loved ones, who take comfort that she is at peace with her creator. Judy is survived by her husband, Don, eight children and eighteen grandchildren; Karen (children Jason, Jimmy, and Aubrey), Brian (wife Leslie, children Brandon and Robert), David, Marcy (husband Michael, children Emily, Pierre, and Andre), Christy (husband Randy, children Thomas and William), Donny (children Jolie and Avery), Tommy (wife Bridget, children Jacques, Zoe and Gaby), Danny (wife Kelly, children Amy, Yvie, and Zachary), a great granddaughter, Kennedy, two brothers’ Tom and Joey, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at, E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd. St. Benedict, LA 70457 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Boudreaux to be made to the Cenacle Retreat House, 5500 St. Mary Street, Metairie, LA 70006. ===================
