Chabreck, III went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the age of 65. John was the beloved husband of Kristie Varisco Chabreck, father of John J. Chabreck, IV, Ashlie Chabreck, and Karly Chabreck Barduca (Chris). He was the son of Claire Chabreck and the late John J. Chabreck, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Marlene Chabreck Rizk (George), his brothers: Stephen Chabreck (Frances), Richard Chabreck (Jan), and Gregory Chabreck (Sherry). He was preceded in death by his sister Rebecca Chabreck Kelley. He had three grandchildren: Gabe Morse, Genna Barduca, and Ava Barduca. He was the son-in-law of Clair Varisco and Freddie Varisco and the brother-in-law of Francine Zahn, Sal Varisco and Paul Varisco. He was a devoted family man who will be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also had many friends who mourn his passing. John was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacombe. He was a 1969 graduate of Slidell High School, and earned a B.S. from Southeastern Louisiana University. He proudly served his country in Vietnam before being honorably discharged. As the owner of Norris Heating and Air Conditioning, John was known for his unparalleled work ethic and generosity. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28088 Main Street, Lacombe, LA 70445 at 11 a.m. Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation at church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial is immediately following the mass at Toomer Cemetery in Lacombe.
