Passed away on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015, he was 84 years old. He was born in Campobello, SC on July 22, 1931 as the only child to McBeth “Buck” and Alice Gault. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maxine. He leaves behind his children Kim Loggin (Jim), Lisa Bowden (Tom) and Brett Gault; grandchildren Eric, Leah (Josh), Nick, Mallory, Rob and Jackson. Bob was a 1949 graduate of Inman High School, SC. Shortly after his high school graduation he joined the United States Army and served until 1953 before being honorably discharged. After his military service Bob attended Milwaukee School of Engineering, graduating in 1955. He was employed in the Aerospace & Defense industry for the next 36 years, working for Chrysler Space Division and United Technologies before retiring in 1991. Bob had a passion for the theatre, having acted or directed in numerous plays and productions throughout the Northshore and New Orleans area. He was honored many times for his theatrical abilities and had the pleasure to participate in several locally filmed commercials and movies. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Slidell Little Theatre and contributed to Franklinton Community theatre program. Bob was an also a member of the Slidell Jaycees and Moose Lodge. In addition to coaching many youth football teams, Bob as an avid golfer and general sports enthusiast. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Honaker Funeral Home located at 1751 Gause Blvd, West, Slidell, LA 70469 on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00AM until 1:00PM followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:00PM. Burial services will immediately follow at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery located at 34888 Grantham College Road, Slidell, LA 70460.
