HARRIGAN, 59, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, in Slidell. Beloved husband of Nancy Harrigan; Loving Father of Michael Harrigan Jr. (Sarah), and Erin Harrigan Phillips (Darryl); Son of Mary Frances Hurt, and the late Olin Harrigan; Brother of Mary Ellen Harrigan, Harry Harrigan, and Peggy Sammons; Also survived by six grandchildren, Caleb Phillips, Wesley Harrigan, Justin Harrigan, Aliyah Harrigan, Kaelyn Phillips, Jett Phillips, and greeted in Heaven by his grandson Ayden Phillips. Pastor Harrigan was a native of Bradenton, Florida, and a resident of Slidell since 1984. He was the founding pastor of Community Baptist Church and faithfully ministered there for 29 years. He graduated from Bob Jones University and earned his Masters’ Degree from Slidell Baptist Seminary, and was the founder and president of Community Baptist Bible Institute. He and his wife Nancy, began Community Christian School in 1986 where they educated and enriched many lives throughout the years. He loved his family, preached the Word fervently, and served the Lord faithfully. ”Keep on keeping on” was his motto, and he lived it well. As he always said..God is good all the time. Funeral Services will be held at Northshore Church, 310 Kensington Blvd, Slidell, 70458, on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday, beginning at 9:30am. Burial will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beans Bible Ministry PO Box 10200, Gulfport MS 39505. ===================
