He was born on September 11, 1939 in Wesson, MS to the late Woodrow J. Hart and Ferol Cobb Hart. Fred was married to his beloved wife, Betty Boe Hart for 57 years and together they had three sons, Frederick H. Hart, Jr., Barry J. Hart, Sr. (Mercedes F. Canon), and Craig P. Hart (Celeste). He was the loving grandfather of Devin, Chad, Barry, Jr., Janna, Amber, Alexis, Will, and Beau. He was the brother of Beverly Chauffe (Edgar) and the late James Oliver White, and Donald Beoubay. Fred served in the Louisiana Army National Guard. Fred was a true entrepreneur. He was a past Master Mason of Germainia Lodge 46. He was a member of the Heat and Asbestos Workers Local 53. Fred coached multiple sports at Ferncrest School. He owned Hart’s Sandwich Shoppe in New Orleans, LA. As a salesman, Fred worked for Modern Flooring and Toyota of Slidell. He was a dealer at the Silver Slipper. Most recently, Fred was a legal assistant at the Law Office of Craig P. Hart. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 7:30 PM with visitation from 5:30 PM until service time.
