BRUCE MCCARTNEY, 68, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015, in 
Slidell, after a battle with brain cancer.

Beloved Husband of Laurel McCartney for the past 40 years;
Father of Kristin Faller (Gary Jr), Bryon McCartney (Kellie), Brandi McCartney; 
Elizabeth Leibbrand Cooper and the late Jeffrey Leibbrand;
Son of the late James McCartney and Yetta Atkinson; step-son of John Atkinson;
Brother of Von Atkinson, Lance McCartney, and David McCartney;
Also survived by eight grandchildren: Sean, Christopher, Rebecca, Jessica, 
Joseph, Jacob, Jude, and Luke; and eight great-grandchildren: Amaya, Stephen, 
Bailey, Gabrielle, Savannah, Aria, Tegan, and Seth.

A native of Mansfield, Ohio, and a resident of Slidell for the past 36 years, 
he was an employee of The Marlin Company for the past 22 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Funeral Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 1534 Seventh Street, 
Slidell LA, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.
Friends may visit at the church on Thursday beginning at 11:00am.

Burial will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Memorial Gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
