EDWARD L. “CAPTAIN MACK” MCGAHA, age 81, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 
2015.

Preceded in death by his loving wife Mildred Murray Swann Nunez McGaha, 
daughter Mary Ellen Nunez Stroud, son, Edward Lawrence “Joe” Nunez, his 
parents, Stanley F. McGaha, Janie Jones McGaha, and his siblings, Audrey L. 
Minor, Willard C. “Sonny” McGaha and Hugh F. McGaha.

He is survived by his sons, Dennis McGaha (Susan), Milton E. “Gene” Nunez, Jr. 
(Carra), Eugene “Gene” Swann (Mary), Gary C. Nunez, Sr. (Phyllis), his siblings 
B. Jane Ellis and James Franklin McGaha (Irene) and by many grandchildren and 
great grandchildren.

A native of Leesburg, VA and a longtime resident of Pearl River, LA.
He was Owner and President of M&M Marine Towing Company, and a Veteran of the 
United States Air Force.
He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was awarded the 
Medal of St. Louis in 2007. He was also a 4th Degree Member of The Knights of 
Columbus Assembly #1635 in Slidell, LA.
He was a longtime member of the Krewe of Perseus, and former King.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 66192 St. Mary Dr, Pearl River, LA, on 
Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.
Visitation at the church will begin after 12:00 Noon.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
