FELIX J. TARANTO, of Slidell, LA, passed away peacefully at 92 years of age on 
Monday, August 17, 2015, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

Felix will join his dearly loved and terribly missed wife, Shirley. They were
Married for 71 years and Felix was without her for 15 months.

Father of Sharon Noto (Billy), Lynn Clement (Mickey), Honorine Taranto (James 
Costello), and Michael Taranto (Beth).

Son of the late Jacob and Honorine Taranto. Brother of the late Honore, Mary, 
and Jacob Taranto.

Also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in 
death by two grandsons, Shaun Clement and David Noto.

A native and longtime resident of New Orleans, and a resident of Slidell for 
the past 22 years.

Felix will be remembered forever for his avid love of life. He had much 
enthusiasm for both his job as an insurance salesman and as a golfer in 
retirement. He was a happy fun-loving man who was always trying to help 
everyone. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Also a
veteran of the US Navy and WWII.

Special thanks to the caretakers and residents of Park Provence assisted living 
center in Slidell for caring for and providing Felix enjoyment.

Private services will be held at a later date.
