 “AJ” AUGUSTUS JOHN WONIGER, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, August 28, 
2015, he was 87 years old.

Father of the late Lynn Carol Graham.
Son of late John Augustus Woniger and Eva Bonvillian Woniger.
Brother of the late Edmund Augustus Woniger.

Also survived by granddaughters: Angele Jolie Graham; Desiree Lenore Graham; 
nephews: Edmund Augustus Woniger, Jr.; Philip Girard Woniger and niece Melissa 
Catherine Woniger Hollstegge.

AJ started his career as an oiler in the Merchant Marines where he worked his 
way to be chief electrician on the ships. He was a member of the International 
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers during WWII. AJ received an Honorable 
Discharge from the US Army in 1951; he retired from the State of LA as the 
Director of Physical Plant for LSU Medical Center with 440 employees working 
under his leadership.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA, on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY, SLIDELL, LA.

Visitation on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
