BARR at the age of 65 passed away peacefully at his home in Goodbee on Friday Sept. 25, surrounded by friends and family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband, soul mate and best friend of Brenda for 44 years - Devoted Father of Shawn and Brittney whom he cared for and loved so very deeply. Son of the late J.W. Barr, Sr. and Lurline Plauche Bar Survived by a sister Martha St.Romain (Charles) Brother – J.W. Barr, Jr. (Pat) Sister-In-Law Marsha Reeder Brother-In-Law Billy Takewell (Jan) He was “PawPaw” Keith to Asher and Zack And a host of nieces and nephews who all loved their “Uncle Keith”, as well as many cousins who loved and prayed for him. Keith formed lasting and heartfelt relationships with many of his Employees at his business, Bop’s Frozen Custard as well as with past Employers and Co- workers at Unistar Plastics and Bunzl. He had a special place in his heart for so many that knew him. He loved working on his tractor on his property and raising his cattle as well as working with wood. As an avid Estate sale attender he would enjoy buying and refurbishing antiques, old tools, farm implements, etc. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Trinity Evangelical Church, 19380 N. 10th Street, Covington, LA. Visitation from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with service to immediately following. Burial will be at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery -1:00 PM in Plaucheville, LA. Many thanks to all the caring doctors, nurses and technicians at The Cancer Center in Covington for all your wonderful care and also to Roxanne Smith and Denise Gutnisky for all of your love and support through his last moments of his life. We want to express our deep gratitude to our Church Family at Trinity Evangelical Church and to the many people that have prayed so diligently for him. We cannot express enough what power there is in prayer. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Scott’s Wish in Keith Barr’s name for families of Trinity Church are very much appreciated.
