John R Bufkin, Sr. entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 
Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson, LA at the age of 84. 

He was born in Gulfport, MS and lived in Covington, LA for most of his life. He 
was the owner and founder of Johnnies Diesel Service, Inc., in Metairie and Pro 
Diesel in Covington, LA and was in the United States Army, a Jefferson Parish 
Police Officer, past member of Farhad Grotto Bug Unit and 33rd degree Mason. 

Loving husband of Trudy A Bufkin for 24 years and the late Marion R Bufkin. 
John leaves to cherish his memories to his children; John Jr, Dennis Bufkin of 
Bogalusa, LA, Kevin Bufkin, Emily Bufkin Martin of Franklinton, LA and Brian 
Bufkin of Metairie, LA; sister, Carol B Fremonthal of Metairie, LA, numerous 
grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Marion Ronsonet Bufkin and daughter 
Barbara Bufkin James.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his Memorial Service 
Sunday, September 13, 2015 for 2:00 pm, at Doug and Robin Bufkin Simpson, 19208 
Hwy 1055 Kentwood, LA 70444.
