Betty Jane Flair Helwick, aged 84 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, 
September 22, 2015. 

She was the daughter of the late Albert Eli and Annie Dell Flair. 
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Adam A. Helwick 
Jr., and brothers Albert, Elmer and Merlin Flair. 

She is survived by daughter Darryl Helwick Flair and son-in-law John R. Flair; 
son, David Adam Helwick and daughter-in-law Carolyn R. Helwick; four grandsons, 
Jeffrey and Jeremy Flair and Joshua and Neil Helwick; and one great grandson 
Jeffrey Flair Jr.

She was born in Carrollton in New Orleans and was a resident of Covington for 
the past 31 years.

Mrs. Helwick was retired from the City of New Orleans after 20 years of service 
and 10 years as a hostess at two local Wendy's restaurants. She was a beloved 
Sunday School teacher and was a VBS volunteer at Northlake Assembly of God 
Church for many years.

A memorial service will be held at Northlake Assembly of God Church, 958 N. Lee 
Rd. in Covington on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:30 AM.
