Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2015/st1509.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== ROBERT "BOB" CAESAR PFLUEGER III, of Lacombe, LA died a peaceful death on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Slidell Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Bob had his wife, his children and all his grandchildren near him, surrounding him with love and prayer. He was born April 2, 1938 in New Orleans, LA. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jr. and Ethel Pflueger; and his brother, Charles Raymond Pflueger. Bob is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Lucille Pflueger; son, Michael Edward Pflueger and his wife, Marissa; daughter, Karen Elizabeth Stoehr and her husband, David; and seven Stoehr grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, Emily, Rachel, Zachary, Claire and Olivia. Bob was a native of New Orleans, LA and was an Electrical Contractor and the third-generation owner and operator of Pflueger Electric Company (circa 1909) of which he became President in 1967. He was a long-standing member of the National Electrical Contractors Association and served as President of the Southern Louisiana Chapter from 1978 through 1980 and served as governor from 1998 through 2000. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was President of the Illuminating Engineering Society from 1974 through 1975. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 60 years and served on the parish council for St. John of the Cross in Lacombe, LA. Bob was an avid fisherman and sports fan of the Saints and Texas Aggies and enjoyed dogs, square dancing, travelling and golfing. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61030 Brier Lake Drive, Lacombe, LA, 70445 on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at the church from 9:00 A.M. until funeral time. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to St. John of the Cross. ===================
