Guy Joseph “Tony” Ragusa, Jr. died peacefully at his home in Covington, 
Louisiana on Monday, September 14, 2015. 

He was 82 years old. Known for his love of good food, and military 
collectibles. 

All who knew Guy admired his wit and knowledge of just about everything. 
His sparkling eye and storytelling will be greatly missed. His political 
concerns are now over. 
Born in New Orleans to parents Guy J. and Marcelene Ragusa, they moved to 
Covington’s Barker’s Corner area in 1945 to become truck farmers and supply the 
New Orleans farmers market. 
He graduated Lee Road Cum Laude, then went on to Covington High to graduate in 
1951. 
Guy served with honor in the Korean War.  
He later was a salesman in the automotive industry in the Covington area for 
over 30 years. 

He leaves behind his loving wife, Maxanne and four children, Mario, Mark, 
Theresa and Paul; and 3 grandchildren- Shelby, Mandy and Joey.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, 
September 18, 2015 at 1:00PM at New Zion Baptist Church 17387 New Zion Church 
Rd., Covington, LA 70435. Visitation at the church from 11:00 AM until service 
time.
