ROBERT “BOB” JOHN SOWERWINE, SR., age 75 , of Slidell, LA passed away on 
Thursday, September 24, 2015.

Beloved Husband of Sue Knight Sowerwine for the past 53 years.
Father of Robert J. Sowerwine, Jr.(James), Jeffrey David Sowerwine(Lisa) and 
Scott Alan Sowerwine(Rhonda).
Also survived by 4 grandchildren, Brittni Hawkins(Mike), Kyle, Ainsley, Taylor 
Sowerwine and 3 great grandchildren, Raina, Isabella and Cannen Hawkins.


He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the 
Foresters. He was a member of Slidell Lodge #311, F.A.&M, a Past Master and a 
32 degree Scottish Rite Mason.

He was a former employee of Boeing where he worked on the Saturn V program and 
received letters of commendation from both NASA and Astronauts. He retired from 
L.S.U. Medical Center.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral
Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 12:30 P.M.

Interment in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation on Tuesday after 10:30 A.M. until funeral time.

Donations to the Charity of Your Choice, preferred, in lieu of flowers
