She was born on August 8, 1952 in New Orleans, LA to Viola May Sturgeon and Norman Victor Lovegren and has been a resident of Slidell for over 36 years. She was united in marriage to Robert Ray “Bob” Womack on June 4, 1974 at Life Tabernacle Church in Shreveport, LA. They were married for 41 years. Ruth worked as a Registered Nurse in the ICU at Slidell Memorial Hospital from 1979 until her retirement in 2010. Left to cherish her memory is her son and his wife – Jonathan James Womack (Lauren); two daughters and their spouses – Tamara Ruth Clements (Vincent) and April Sarah Seamen (Justin); sister – Bonnie Lovegren Evans; brother – Lee Lovegren; and twin brother and sister – John and Edie Lovegren; eight grandchildren – Logan Zachariah, Brandon Nathaniel, Rebeccah Ruth and Callen Michael Clements, Liliana Michelle Seamen, Justin Kale Turner, Nicholas Robert and Emma Noel Womack. She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola May Sturgeon and one grandson – Jacob Michael Seamen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at New Jerusalem Praise and Worship Center, 62340 Hwy 1090, Pearl River, LA 70452, Pastors Rick Cullen and Jim Baird will be officiating. Visiting hours at the Church on Saturday will begin at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Cancer Research facility or fund in Mrs. Ruth Womack’s name and memory. E.J.
