Ronald Achee, 78, died on his birthday, Oct.21, 2015.

He is survived by a loving family including his four step children (Beth, Mike, 
Pat & Dan Gelpi), nine grandchildren (Sarah Gelpi Hooker, Madelyn Gelpi, Marina 
Gelpi, Aimee Gelpi, Laura Mayfield, Ryan and Miranda Deshotels, Brandon and 
Faith Gelpi), one great grandchild (Ella Denham), a nephew (John Taylor) and 
grand nephew (Nicholas Taylor).

He is preceded in death by his parents (John & Beatrice Miranne Achee), his 
loving wife Marion Portes Achee, his son (Keith Achee) and sister Gayle Achee 
Schneller).

He grew up in New Orleans in the Lower Ninth Ward, went to Holy Cross High 
School, and moved to Slidell in the mid-1980’s. In his younger years he proudly 
served in the U.S. Navy. After working at Boeing, Ronnie worked at Halter Marine 
followed by 35 years at Textron working primarily in the Test Department.

The close family and friends will get together to say their goodbyes privately.

Ronnie was loved by many and will be missed by all.
