Louise was born on April 27, 1922 to Fred E. Brister and Wadie Boone Brister of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her older brother Fred E. Brister, Jr. and is survived by her sister Dennie Eudora Brister Brumfield, both of McComb, Mississippi. Louise was a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College where she played the clarinet (and well, she would tell you.) After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Louise worked in the U.S. Civil Service as a stenographer in Oahu, Hawaii, for two years before returning to Mississippi where she met and married her beloved late husband Kenneth Bratton. After spending a short time in New Orleans, Louise was a resident of Covington Country Club for 54 years, where she and Kenny raised four children, Kenneth Carl (Suzette), William Harry, Mary Lynn Boesch (Larry) and Linda Louise Bratton. Louise was an active member of the Krewe of Juno, Krewe of Eve and the Cosmopolitan Club of New Orleans. She also swore she was the Bogue Chitto Queen but her family is quite certain she made that up. Louise was also an avid golfer and won the CCC ladies club championship in the late 1960’s. Louise’s most cherished accomplishment was being able to enjoy her six grandchildren, Kelly Bratton Guilbert (Neill), Kenneth Carl “Kasey” Bratton (Yadira), Keinan Michael Bratton (April), Kyle Alexander Bratton (Amanda), Holly Bratton Edwards (Edwin) and Carly Ashton Boesch and five great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but her laughter will live on forever. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment in Hollywood Cemetery Mccomb, MS at 1:30 PM on Tuesday. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN ===================
