She was born march 8, 1926 in ogden, utah to Fred R. Sawyer of Scotland, South Dakota and Laura Smit Sawyer of Ogden, Utah. At the age of 18 months old she moved to Fort Worth, Texas until she attended the University of Texas where she met her husband George Dausch, predeceased in 2012. Shirley and George had two children, Nancy Dausch Robbins (Bill) and Dana Fred Dausch, predeceased, (Donna). Survived by her grand children Will Robbins (Rachel), Stefanie Dausch Mixon (Mark), Alex Dausch, Will Baum and five great grandchilddren, Cail Robbins, Lauren Robbins, Cate Robbins and Peter and Beau Mixon. Shirley had one brother predeceased Don Sawyer (Jean). Shirley was a charter member of the Delta Aimes, a women's auxiliary to the petroleum industry. Her interests were sewing, golf, bridge and china painting. she was an active member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church since 1987. Shirley served as president of the Methodist womens at St.luke's United Methodist Church in New Orleans, La. A resident of New Orleans, La. since 1952 before moving to Mandeville, La. in 1987. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service to honor Shirley at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, La., on Thursday Octobere 29, 2015. Visitation is from 10:00 and memorial service at 11:00 a reception will be held at the church following the service.
