John Edward Schmidt, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the age of 
66.

Beloved husband of 43 years to Jeanne Marie Alba Schmidt. Loving father of John 
Edward Schmidt III and Heidi Marie Schmidt Romine and husband Geoff. Son of the 
late Yvonne Chambon Schmidt and John Edward Schmidt. Grandfather of Colin 
James, Samantha Marie and Jackson Edward Romine. Brother of Danny, Rodney and 
Wayne Schmidt.

Mr. Schmidt retired as Regional Vice President of MetLife. He was a Saints Fan, 
avid golfer and a 25 year member of Beau Chene Country Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at, E.J. 
Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, 
October 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM. 

Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Schmidt to 
be made to Mary Bird Perkins of Covington, LA.
