George was born in New Orleans to the late Georgette Lier Scofield and Jack Julius Scofield. He was a resident of Slidell for 43 years. He served in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam War. He is survived and loved by his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Brenda Hatfield Scofield and his three daughters Sherri May, Kristy Babin, and Amy Ramundo. George was an amazing Paw-Pa to Katlyn Rivet, Kelsy Rivet, Thomas May, Ryan Rivet, Gabriel Ramundo, P.J. Ramundo, Ross Rivet, Hannah Ramundo, and Michael Ramundo. He was the beloved brother to Jaqueline Travis and Debbie Hoffman. As a third generation printer of Scofield’s Quality Printers and business owner of Ad Mart Advertising, George always demonstrated honesty and a strong work ethic. George will be remembered for being a Christian man that was humble and always had a positive outlook on life! He enjoyed the beach, fishing, Jimmy Buffet and being a “pirate” to his grandchildren. He always felt it was 5 o’clock somewhere! Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 9:30 am followed by a mass at 12:00 pm at St. Genevieve Church, 58203 Hwy 433 in Slidell, LA.
