His love of family was evident to all who knew him. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Sharp Jenkins. Loving father of Floyd Ronald Jenkins (Molly) and Stephen Dale Jenkins (Brenda). Son of the late Ina Mae Fussell Jenkins and Jesse Jenkins. Grandfather of Floyd Ronald Jenkins II (Jenny), Amy Beth Jenkins, Jesse Jenkins, Misty J. Saldi (Chris), Beau C. Jenkins (Tammy) and Natalie J. Deggans (Chris). Great-grandfather of India Caroline Jenkins, Romany Alexander, Kale Jenkins, Larkyn Jenkins, Adrian Jenkins, Evangeline Jenkins, Charlie Jenkins, Cade Saldi, Talianna Saldi, Cameron Jenkins, Cheyenne Jenkins, Isabel Jenkins, Core Deggans, Graham Deggans and Smith Deggans. Mr. Jenkins was a master welder and production supervisor at Equitable Shipyard. He was a longtime welding instructor for Sullivan Technical School. Mr. Jenkins professed his faith in Christ at an early age, was a longtime church council member of Shepherd’s Fold Church and recently a member of Shepherd’s Care Ministry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Hwy 1081, Covington, LA 70435 on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and AT CHURCH on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Shepherd’s Fold Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Jenkins to be made to New Heights Therapeutic Riding for children. ===================
