Daughter of the late Amelia Royer Dupont Dorr and Albert Paul Dupont, Carola was born on September 22, 1930 in Rayne, LA. She lived in Covington, LA for 42 years. Affectionately called “Molly” by many, Carola was a fabulous homemaker and devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Robert Mitchell. Carola is survived by her loving children and grandchildren, Catherine Gordon of Albuquerque, NM and her daughter Cassandra Costley of Tacoma, WA; MG Finch and her husband Jim Finch and their sons Mitchell and Jack of Decatur, GA; Lynne Ring and her husband Stephen Ring of Houston, TX and her son Jeremiah E. Woolsey, IV and his wife Karla Franks Woolsey of New Orleans, LA; William James Mitchell, II and his wife Lisa Jetty Mitchell and their children John, Maggie and Adam of Baton Rouge, LA; Shawn Mitchell Andrus and her husband Stuart Andrus and their children Ian, Reid and Daly of Covington, LA; and Mimi Mitchell Williams and her husband Tim Williams and their children Bob and Hallie of Daytona Beach, FL. She is also survived by a brother, James Dale Dupont and his wife Jewel of Conroe, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Carola had a passion for reading, was a great cook and a wonderful wife and mother. She was a member of Juno, a charter member of Eve and a member of Friends of the Library and Newcomers, serving as President of both organizations. Relations and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Crowley, LA at a later date. A reception at the home of Shawn and Stuart Andrus at 212 S. Jahncke Ave. in Covington will follow the Mass. ===================
