Born February 14, 1938 in Brookhaven, Mississippi Clara was one of twelve children. She was united in marriage to John Saucier in New Orleans, Louisiana. John proceeded Clara in death July 2004. They were married for 44 happy years traveling the world as a US Navy family. Clara received her nursing degree at Charity Hospital in 1960 and worked in hospitals across the country for more than 15 years. Known by many as Aunt Clara, she was famed for her pralines. An active member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Clara will be remembered for her dedication to family and friends. She is survived by her children and their spouses; John Saucier, Angelle and David Snyder, Michelle Keebler, Tim and Megan Saucier, Kori Saucier; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Helen Bullard and Jerry Love; 2 bothers Jim Fortenberry and Ike Fortenberry; Sister-in law Mary Fortenberry. Services will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 11:00 am at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church 66192 Saint Mary Drive, Pearl River, Louisiana 70452. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made The Fisher House. The Fisher House is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. US Navy ===================
