Sam Gebbia, died tragically in an auto accident on December 5, 2015 at the age 
of 69. 

Sam was a dedicated Oschner employee serving as a Security Officer on both 
Slidell and Covington Campuses. 

Sam was born in Independence, LA on February 23, 1946, to Sannie and Nick 
Gebbia. 
Sam is survived by his daughters, Toni Gebbia-Brown and Teri Gebbia Daniels 
(Michael); his wife, Sandra Davis Gebbia; his stepdaughter Keili Pennington; 
his sister, Sandra Curole (Donnie); his brother Nick Gebbia, Jr. (Karol) and 
his former wife, Patricia Artigue Gebbia. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, 
Samantha Brown, Zachary Brown, Justin Daniels and great-grandson Craig Domingue 
III and nephews Brett Curole and Nicholas Gebbia and Nieces Nicole Curole 
Naquin and Santina Gebbia. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Santina Macaluso Gebbia; and his father, 
Nick Gebbia, Sr. 

Sam retired from the New Orleans Police Department after 33 years of service; 
he was also an Investigator for the 22nd Judicial District Attorney's Office. 
He was a self-taught talented artist. 

He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known him. 

A private service was held by the family.
