JOEL K. MCILWAIN, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Wednesday, December 30 , 2015.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Dian Kanapkey McIlwain, 
brother Jerry (Mari), nieces, April McIlwain Camas (Genaro), Jennifer McIlwain 
Giddens (Duane) and Cynthia McIlwain, first cousin, Lurline Ard (A.J.), great 
nieces and nephews, Samantha , Rachel Glass, G.T. Camas-McIlwain, Jackson, 
Carter, and Erin Giddens, members of the Kanapkey family and many friends.

His happiest days were spent on the Bayou. He also cherished his days at the 
Palm Beach Habilitation Center and loved the staff and clients.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of his life to be 
held at his home on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Donations to the Palm Beach Habilitation Center, Best Friends Sanctuary or 
Heifer International, preferred, in lieu of flowers.
