Died: Tue., Dec. 15, 2015 Thomas carl Ransom, Sr, age 35 of Independence La, completed his death at Angie's bar in Independence on December 15, 2015. Thomas was born in Harlingen Tx on November 2, 1980 to Stan Ransom and Georgia (Pace) Ransom. His siblings include a brother and sister, as well as April's Joy (Ransom) Case (Davy), Independence, La, and Nicholl Ransom, Columbia, SC. Thomas graduated from St. Amant academy in baptist La in 2002 and was married to melissa landry on december 21, 2001. They have four children, Jared (deceased), Angel, Thomas Carl, Jr (TC) and Isabel (Izzy). He married April Mayfield on halloween, October 31, 2009. Since it was their favorite, they had a holiday wedding, complete with costumes and a themed wedding cake. April had two children, Sarah Ann and Johnathan (j-bird) Mixon. Thomas and April raised the five children together as a blended family. He was employed as a welder with American sport works in roseland. He loved cars, hunting and his family, which included several pets. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife,April, his son, Jared, his parents, Stan and Georgia, all four grandparents, his cousin Lisa (Ransom Mudderman) Davis, his aunt Joan Ransom Mudderman and his niece, Aylah Brewer. A memorial service was held for Thomas at 5pm on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Amite, La. Brother Darel Marcotte presided. Honorary pallbearers are members of the fire and ice dart league as well as his many friends. Bagnell and son funeral home of Covington is in charge of direct cremation at a later date. A benefit account has been established with Whitney Bank, with branches in Independence and Hammond, to help our family with this unexpected expense. Any dollar amount you can offer would be greatly appreciated and paid directly to the funeral home. Special thanks to Louisiana State Patrol, troop l, Tangipahoa county sheriff's office, and Independence Police department for their kindness and sensitivity during this difficult time.
