ANTHONY TALAMO JR., a retired lineman for Bell South Telecommunications and 
Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps, passed away on 
Monday, December 28, 2015, in Slidell. He was 72. Mr. 

Talamo was born in New Orleans and resided in Chalmette for 30 years before 
moving to Slidell. He coached all sports for many years at Vista Park in 
Chalmette. He was a member of the Communication Workers of America, the 
Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lillian Faye Duncan and Anthony 
Talamo, Sr.; one brother: Joseph Talamo; and a sister: Lillie Lataxes.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years: Marie Norton Talamo; three 
children: Gina Bowman (Stephen), Anthony Talamo III (Jessica), and Jamie 
Underwood (Michael); one sister: Carmela Gros; nine grandchildren: Jacob and 
Christian Bowman, Nicholas, Margo, Sonni-Anne, and Anthony Talamo IV, Krysta, 
Kendal, and Kasidy Underwood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other 
relatives.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 
Westchester Blvd, Slidell, LA, on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at 10:30am.

Relatives, friends of the family, former coworkers, and former club members, 
may visit at the church beginning at 9:00am.

Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
