Caillouet passed away on January 28, 2016 surrounded by his family at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Gail Schloegel Caillouet for almost 60 years. Cherished father of Derry Lee Kathmann (Jeffery), Dennis Caillouet (Karen), Dianna Benezech (Eddie), David Caillouet (Donna), Deborah Colopy (Eric), Donna Perez (David), and the late infant son, Daniel. Grandfather of Eddie Caillouet, Kristen Moon, Dennis Caillouet, Dayna Aucoin, Elena, Evan, and Elise Benezech, Kelly Menendes, Troy Caillouet, Alicia Chatham, Amanda Thompson, Devin, Dylan and Drake Perez. Step-Grandfather of Chrissy Mariakis, Misty Tkach, Lisha and Jeff Kathmann, Jennifer Manton, Kelly Yazbeck, David Martin, as well as 32 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Maurice Caillouet and Serena Alberti Brother of Claire Castaing, Melvin Caillouet, and Joyce Crowel, and the late Maurice Caillouet Jr. Dudley served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Nestle Candy Company, Nabisco, and retired from Pepperidge Farm. Dudley relocated to Covington after Katrina formally residing in Chalmette. He was a member of AARP 5408 and became friends with all he came in contact with. Visitation will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Ave, Covington, LA on Monday, February 1, 2016, from 11:00AM – 2:00PM, followed by a funeral mass with Fr. Gary Copping officiating.
