Max W. Clay, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016; he was 
79 years old. 

Beloved Husband of Sammie Clay. 
Father of Sons: Jeffrey D. Sumrow (Shanna); Jerry F. Sumrow and
daughter, Julie S. Flower. 
Son of the late Clyde and Annie Clay. 
Brother of: Clyde Clay; John Pettijohn; the late Eugene Clay; and LaVerne 
Moore.  
Also survived by grandchildren: Derek and Brett Flower; Elizabeth and Clay 
Sumrow and great granddaughter Hollie Flower.  

Max was a native of Texas and retired from DeLuxe Check Printers. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 
First Christian Church, 102 Christian Lane, Slidell on Tuesday, January 26, 
2016 at 1 p.m., followed by a fellowship reception at the church. 

A private burial will take place later in the week at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 
attended by immediate family.  

Rev. Susan Lassalle and Rev. Shannon Greenhaw, presiding. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of 
Louisiana, 2325 Severn Ave. #8 Metairie LA, 70001 in Max Clay’s memory.
