Clay, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016; he was 79 years old. Beloved Husband of Sammie Clay. Father of Sons: Jeffrey D. Sumrow (Shanna); Jerry F. Sumrow and daughter, Julie S. Flower. Son of the late Clyde and Annie Clay. Brother of: Clyde Clay; John Pettijohn; the late Eugene Clay; and LaVerne Moore. Also survived by grandchildren: Derek and Brett Flower; Elizabeth and Clay Sumrow and great granddaughter Hollie Flower. Max was a native of Texas and retired from DeLuxe Check Printers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at First Christian Church, 102 Christian Lane, Slidell on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 1 p.m., followed by a fellowship reception at the church. A private burial will take place later in the week at Forest Lawn Cemetery, attended by immediate family. Rev. Susan Lassalle and Rev. Shannon Greenhaw, presiding.
