Clare Favret Delery passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the age of 
94.

Beloved wife of the late Edward Joseph Delery. Loving mother of Michael “Mike” 
Delery (Sheryl), Clare “Sue” Delery, Kathleen “Cookie” Baxter, James “Jimmy” 
Delery and Edward “Joe” Delery (Amy). Daughter of the late Marie Erath Favret 
and Lionel F. Favret. Grandmother of Suzanne Roth (Jeff), Anne McWhorter, 
Elizabeth Harp (Chris), Paul Baxter, Jacob Baxter, Elizabeth Delery and Blair 
Delery. Great-grandmother of Clare, Jeffrey and Michael.

Mrs. Delery's deep faith and love of the Catholic Church was reflected 
throughout her life. Her greatest honor was in receiving the Order of St. Louis 
IX award. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed cooking, entertaining, 
playing cards, and spending time at her house on the river.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter 
Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, January 26, 
2016 at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Tuesday beginning at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Delery to 
be made to St. Peter Catholic Church.
