Barbara Nan Johnson Hucker, of Abita Springs, Louisiana, passed away of natural 
causes on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in Abita Springs. 

She was born February 7, 1951, in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of the Late 
Ántoinette Genna Johnson and Louis Lane Johnson, Sr. and grew up in Chalmette, 
LA. 

She graduated from St Mary's Dominican High Szhool in 1969. She received an 
undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and a masters degree 
from Loyola University in New Orleans. She the following titles: Licensed 
Addiction Counselor, Master of Professional Studies, and Comprehensive 
Services.

She is survived by her husband: Gary Hucker, three children: Henry Leonard 
"Trey” Sundermeyer III (Julia), Heidi Kristen Sundermeyer, and Margaret Ellen 
Sundermeyer Rouse (Charles “Kip”); two brothers: Louis Lane Johnson Jr., and 
Jeffrey Michael Johnson; sisters: Cynthia Johnson Hebert and Lanette Johnson 
Perrin (Boyd).

Thirteen grandchildren: Sara Sundermeyer, Harley Sundermeyer, Hannah 
Sundermeyer, Jonathan Michael Freeman, Jenna Freeman, Alexander Fortado, Hayden 
Lefler, Maurice Fayard, Lane Rouse, Elliot Rouse, Nolan Rouse, Del Rouse, and 
Kristin Rouse.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass at St. 
Margaret Mary Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, in Slidell, on Monday, January 25, 
2016, at 11:00am. Friends may visit at the church on Monday beginning at 
9:00am. 

Burial will be in Porter Cemetery on Porters Cemetery Road in Slidell.
