MARANT, RUTH 
Died: Tue., Jan. 19, 2016

Ruth L. Marant 96 years old a resident of Lacombe Nursing Home for the last 3 
years passed away peacefully from natural causes Tuesday January 19 at 6:00 pm.

Wife of the late Irwin Joseph Marant Sr., Ruth was born and raised in New 
Orleans, and lived there for many years.

She is the daughter of the late Jesse and Anna Saunders and two siblings, Jesse 
and Evelyn both deceased.

Ruth served honorably in the Women's Army Corps during World War II.
Ruth had 3 children, the late Elaine Evelyn Carroll, and the late Martha Mary 
Marant, and surviving son Irwin J. Marant Jr. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 
and 7 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at 
Pinecrest Memorial Gardens at 2280 W. 21st. Avenue, Covington, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covington Crisis Pregnancy Center.
