Beloved wife of the late Roy Pierre Laurent and the late Paul John Lagarde, Jr. Daughter of the late Annie Gleason and Manuel Zamora. Loving mother of Paul John Lagarde III and Jeanne Laurent Lagarde, the late Leesa Lagarde Dominick and son-in-law Wilton Dominick, Kim Laurent David, and David Roy Laurent. She has 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great- great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. “Ellie” was born in New Orleans until she married and moved to St. Bernard Parish. She was a bank teller for Peoples Bank for many years. “Wedding Flowers by Ellie” was her floral business for 13 years. She served as president of St. Bernard Business & Professional Women’s Club from 1978-79, choosing as her project, the planting of 450 oak trees that she and her husband, Roy, planted down the neutral ground of Judge Perez Drive from Arabi to Violet. After moving to Lacombe, she became well known as the “Jelly by Ellie” lady for MANY years. She was an active member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial of life celebration at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Lacombe on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 9 to 11 following with a service at 11. In lieu of flowers, Miss Ellie requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ===================
