Thomas H. Perry Sr., age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, 
at Northshore Specialty Hospital in Covington, La.

He was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Kennett, Mo., to Gracie and Hughie Perry of 
Keiser, Ark., and is survived by his wife of 49 years, Christine Wild Perry of 
Wurzburg, Germany; children Thomas H. Perry Jr. of Blue Springs, Mo.; Veronica 
Christine Rice of Mandeville, La.; Mike Perry of Greensboro, N.C.; Nancy Perry 
of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He also is 
survived by brother Charles Perry of Osceola, Ark., and sisters Clara Kort of 
California and Barbara McLean of Keiser, Ark.

Mr. Perry served his country for 25 years and retired as an officer from the 
U.S. Army, which included duty with the 82nd and 101st Airborne, and was a 
electronic/aeronautical engineer for several companies before retiring in 1994. 
He earned a Master’s Degree from Alabama A&M and was an accomplished golfer and 
avid fisherman. He loved to cook and entertain but was most content when 
surrounded by loved ones, including his little dog Marley.

His passing is marked with tears and great sadness but he will live on in our 
hearts and be remembered always for the loving and caring husband, father and 
grandfather he was.

Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, 
LA on Tuesday, March 1,2016. Visitation will be held from 9:00A.M until funeral 
service at 11:30A.M. 

His body will be laid to rest at 1:00 P.M., 1 Mar. 2016 at the Southeast 
Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, La.
