Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2016/st1602.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Jerome (Jerry) Tyler, 79, entered into the arms of his heavenly Father on February 11, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Murphy Tyler, his three daughters, Monica, of New York, NY, Margaret, of Brooklyn, NY, and Catherine (Richard Tonry), of Slidell. He is also survived by his four precious grandchildren, Hannah, Claire, Richard, and Patrick Tonry. Numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces also survive to cherish his memory. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Antoinette and Chester Tyler and his brother Richard. Jerry was a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. He served with pride and distinction for 28 years, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a parishioner of St. Luke Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral services will take place at St. Luke Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd. Visitation will take place in the church on Thursday, February 18, from 5:00pm- 7:00pm and again on Friday, February 19, from 9:30am-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30. Burial will take place at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans' Cemetery in Slidell immediately following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Good Samaritan Ministry at St. Luke Church would be appreciated. US Marines ===================
