Jewel James Wood, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, he 
was 87 years old.

Beloved husband of the late Carolyn King Wood.
Father of Corwyn Dale Wood and wife, Aurora; Sherry W. Chabreck and husband, 
Gregory.

Son of the late James E. Wood and Ada Lee Fisher Wood.
Brother of the late Roy Wood.

Also survived by his loving grandchildren: Miles B. Wood; Chelsea Chabreck 
McKean and husband, Keith; Sierra C. Chabreck; and great granddaughter, Grace 
Rose Wood.

Jewel served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force; retired from NASA and was the 
owner of Lacombe True Value Hardware.

A service was held at Honaker Funeral Home, Slidell, LA.
