Blue, Jr. was born November 11, 1949 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Elizabeth B. Blue and George R. Blue, Sr. He grew up in Metairie and was a graduate of Country Day, Metairie, La. There he excelled, not only academically, but also in sports as a member of the track and basketball team. He graduated Tulane University in 1972 and earned a Juris Doctorate at Tulane Law School in 1975. In 1980 he married Connie Roberts Blue and they lived in Metairie and later in Covington where he was residing at the time of his death, March 21, 2016. Buddy practiced law in New Orleans, Metairie and Covington. He was a member of the Covington and Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association for Justice. He loved playing golf and was a member of Metairie Country Club and when he moved to the Northshore, joined Tchefuncte Country Club. Buddy attended First Baptist Church Covington and served as a Bible Study Teacher and Usher. Buddy is survived by his wife, Connie R. Blue, his son, Kendall R. Blue, his sister, Leslie B. Stevens, and brother, Kaa F. Blue, II. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Noon on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday, at the Church, from 10:00 AM to service time.
