Joycelyn Evet Crahan Culver (Nannie) peacefully passed away on March 2nd, 2016 
in Covington, Louisiana. 
She was 88 years old. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband Ralph Anderson Pittman III and 
her second husband Neubie Joe Culver. 

She leaves behind her three children Ralph Anderson Pittman IV, Debra Ann 
Pittman and Kirk Andrew Pittman; two grandchildren, Cecily Rae Crane and 
Cynthia Elizabeth (Giovanni) Crane-Fusciardi.   

Joycelyn was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and had graduated from Eleanor 
McMain Senior High School in 1944. She later moved to Folsom, Louisiana where 
she happily resided for many years. 

Joycelyn pursued a career in the cosmetology industry. With her keen business 
sense and strong work ethic she and her second husband opened up successful 
high-end hair salons in Metairie, Mandeville and the Uptown New Orleans area. 

Joycelyn was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness who lived her life in joyful service 
to Jehovah. She loved music, was a dance enthusiast and had a serious love for 
British comedy. Always witty and clever with an undying sense of humor she 
could bring a smile to anyone’s face. Above all, she was the most kind and 
giving person whose greatest passion was to help all of those around her. 

Even until her final day she truly remained a lady, one that will forever be in 
our hearts. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 13th, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at The 
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 90 Gardenia Drive, Covington, LA
