DeLana Brook Martinez, entered the Heavenly Kingdom, on Wednesday, March 9, 
2016 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. 

DeLana was born in Odgen, Utah, attended Northwestern State University, Nursing 
School in Shreveport, graduated with her Masters and served her community as a 
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has lived on the Northshore since 2009. 

Loving mother of Sidney Martinez (Kristin), Christian Martinez, Mason Martinez 
and Kylan Mayfield. Devoted Solemate of 6 years to Josh Mayfield. Sister of 
Wayne Smith, Christi Breithaupt (Frank) and the late Sheryl Brooks. Daughter of 
Bill McLain and the late Nina McLain. Devoted grandmother of Lilly Martinez. 
Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Grandaughter of Joyce McLain and the 
late H.H. McLain and the late Robert and Thelma McGoodwin.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on 
Monday, March 14, 2016 at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr., 
Mandeville at 11:00 am. Visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 am. A 
reception will follow for friends and family.
