He was born in 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in Kansas City. He received a BS in Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Missouri at Rolla where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon where he served as Treasurer. He also received an MBA at the University of New Haven, CT. He worked as a metallurgical engineer at United Nuclear Corp., as plant metallurgist at Chaparral Steel in Mid-Lothian, Texas, and began working for Bayou Steel, La Place, LA. in 1981. He rose through management ranks to Vice-President of Plant Operations and retired as Vice-President of Corporate Strategy in 2006. As chief quality control officer, he traveled extensively overseas to assure quality controls for Bayou Steel’s foreign buyers. Tim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia “Lindy” Miller; two sons, Dr. Robert Postlewait and wife Caitlin, of Tulsa, OK and Michael Louis Postlewait of New Orleans: his two brothers, John and Michael Postlewait of Kansas along with numerous nieces and nephews. Tim was a member of Holy Ghost Parish since 1983 and will be remembered for his humor, a keen intellect, his passion for quality and strong work ethic, and his ability to touch many lives in a positive way including his selfless mentoring of employees. Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to attend services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 N. Oak St, Hammond, LA 70401 on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457 ===================
