Miriam ruth Williams West, of New Orleans, LA, passed away peacefully on 
Wednesday, March 23, 2016, surrounded by her family

Beloved wife of the late Chester A. West .
Mother of Joyce W. Knecht (the late Freddie) and the late Ronald W. West (the 
late DeeDee)
Sister of the late Edward Borgstede, James Williams, Rose Borgstede Johnson, 
Ethel Borgstede Alexie, Lena Williams Brunnings Dick, Myrtle Williams Coulon 
Odgen and “Vera” Irma Alvera Williams Bongard Hihar.
Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 8 great great 
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

“Mimmie” was a very active 97 year old native and lifelong resident of Uptown 
New Orleans, where she enjoyed gardening, long walks, visits from her family 
and loved Mardi Gras Parades.

Private Services will be held at a later date.

Donations to St. Joseph Hospice, 19500 Helenberg Rd # C, Covington, LA, 70433,
preferred, in lieu of flowers.
