Lusher grade school and Fortier High School. He then went on to Louisiana State University where he was treasurer and president of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and graduated with a B.S. degree in Business and Marketing. Upon graduation, Roy returned home to New Orleans and began working in the computer service industry. In the 70’s, Roy and family moved to Slidell to live on the water where he spent plenty of time boating, fishing, and hunting. He was an active member of the St. Tammany and Bayou Liberty community and one of the founders of the Old Towne St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Roy had a successful career with Xerox Corporation as National Account Manager, and took an early retirement in order to enjoy life on the bayou, travel, and spend time volunteering with a horseback riding program to benefit special needs children. Roy loved his grandkids and spent as much time as possible with them. He is survived by his son Roy Lipscomb and spouse Nicole Lipscomb, daughter Lauren Lipscomb and spouse Edgar Caro, grandchildren Emilie Biggs, Meghan Biggs, Chandler Lipscomb, Connor Lipscomb, Kendall Wells, Karly Wells, Olivia Lipscomb, Anna Claire Lipscomb, and Genevieve Caro. He is pre-deceased by daughter Catherine Lipscomb. Private services will be held April 30, 2016 please contact family for information. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society. ===================
